Daedalus at EGU General Assembly, Online, 4–8 May 2020:

A number of presentations related to Daedalus have been part of the regular scientific programme at EGU 2020. The Daedalus Science Team also invited to a virtual workshop dedicated to explore Lower Thermosphere – Ionosphere (LTI) in situ measurements. Originally planned as a splinter session at EGU 2020, the meeting was arranged on Friday, May 8 2020 between 14 – 17 CEST / 8am – 11am EDT. Together with highlighted talks by invited speakers we discussed scientific needs and new opportunities for one of the least explored regions of our atmosphere. Invited speakers were Timo Asikainen, Sean Bruinsma, Jorge (Koki) Chau, Frederico Gasperini, Hanli Liu, Gang Lu with the following agenda.

The workshop was organised as a zoom meeting and streamed via YouTube on our Daedalus channel.

Approximately 70 participants followed the meeting by zoom and about 50-60 participants followed the YouTube stream.
